All three Joe Gibbs Racing Supras had early issues at the Dover International Speedway on Saturday afternoon. Stefan Parsons was the highest finishing Toyota Supra-driver with a top-20 result.
Christopher Bell, who had already clinched his spot in the second round of the Playoffs with his win at Richmond Raceway, was strong early, but had no fuel pressure at lap 15. Bell’s team worked quickly and were able to resolve the issue to get Bell’s Supra back on track. He would finish 25th.
His teammates, Harrison Burton and Brandon Jones, were taken out in a lap one crash. That crash destroyed the radiators on both driver’s Supras, which ended their days. That crash also ended Jones’ Playoff run.
The Xfinity Series has next weekend off and will return for the start of the second round at Kansas Speedway.
